Some points to remember when you try on clothing are:
1. Look at it from all angles. Make sure there are several mirrors at different
angles and that you can see your back and side views in addition to the front.
You’re not one-dimensional and other people don’t just see you from the front;
they have the privilege of viewing you from all angles!
2. Wear proper shoes so you can gauge the length of the garment. A lot of dress
shops have shoes you can use; take your own so you know you will get what you
really want.
3. Try on several sizes if necessary. Since most manufacturers assume the perfect
“hourglass” figure, you have to find the size that best fits you for a particular make
of clothing. If you have a large bust, find the size that fits the bust and then alter
the rest.
4. Nobody and no body is perfect (even at 18 and certainly not as a a woman of a certain age),
so if you’re not happy with your bought clothes, get them tailored.
Professionally tailored clothing fits like a glove and can boost your confidence.
